New message

I have missed my hummingbird buddies as they have migrated to southern areas where the temperature does not get quite so cold.

I am glad that they made the journey safely, while I long for their return to our yard.

The little birds are only a small hand full, but they are beautiful creatures that our Lord created for us to see. I especially like the picture of them drinking deeply at the feeder, not satisfied to get just some of the nectar but filling their beaks with as much as they can hold.

Christian, why don’t we drink deeply of the benefits that our Lord provides? Why are we satisfied with just some of the blessings that He desires to give us?

One of the blessings that the Lord has been gracious in giving me is peace. His peace.

I have been plagued with various difficulties for a couple of years. I now have a name for it — ALS. It certainly was not the diagnosis that I wanted, but it appears to be the diagnosis that fits the symptoms that I was experiencing.

I covet your prayers as my Husband and I walk through this journey. I don’t know how much longer I will be able to keep the Ruminant Scribe going, but I will continue to do so until He calls me home.

Father, we thank You for your blessings that come every day and night. Thank you for Your peace and keep me grounded in your love through this ordeal. I praise your holy name, Amen.
